Teen Dream is the third album from the dream-pop band, Beach House. Beach House are known for their unique and simple sound and structure. They have stayed consistent with their last two albums; not veering much from their sound. One of the things they have done different with Teen Dream, is the usage of loops and of course, it works. Victoria Legrand’s voice is still haunting and ear-grabbing as ever. Beach House have delivered another great album doing what their best at. Tracks “Norway”, “Used To Be” and “10 Mile Stereo” are some of the standouts. However, I had trouble recalling how a single song went after listening to it a few times — but when playing the album over again the songs are instantly fresh and great. Teen Dream is not Beach House’s best album but it is a step in the right direction and it will be amazing to see how their fourth album sounds.
